Navigating LMIA-Exempt and Non-LMIA-Exempt Hiring

Step 1

If you need government approval to hire a foreign candidate, schedule a consultation with one of our Immigration Consultants to get information specific to your hiring situation. We can then determine if the position or the candidate is Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) Exempt.

Step 2

After our consultation, if the position or candidate requires an LMIA, you may enlist the help of one of our parent companies, Immigration Care or CRT Legal, to assist with this process.

Step 3

If your LMIA is approved, you will then be able to officially send a job offer to an international candidate from the Work Abroad Canada candidate database.

If LMIA is not approved, you are not eligible to hire a foreign worker.
